DAY 1
WELCOME TO LIMA! (D)

Upon your arrival at Lima (5 mts/16.4 ft), you will be greeted by our amiable View Peru representative whom will explain you all need to know about this dreamy destination. We will accompany you in our private vehicle to the hotel of your choice and revise your itinerary on the way. Your hotel will be located either in Miraflores or Barranco, the most bohemian, hippest and gay-centered neighborhoods in Lima, packed with gourmet restaurants, bars and clubs. At night, we had prepared a delightful and special dinner at a glamorous restaurant so you can enjoy the exquisite Peruvian cuisine and relish before your exciting escapade.

DAY 2
ANTIQUE AND MODERN LIMA ENCOUNTER (B, L, D)

After a sumptuous breakfast at your hotel, prepare to explore the diverse Lima highlights where the colonial and contemporary merge. Today your Lima City experience will start with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean from El Parque del Amor (The Park of Love) at Miraflores (79 mts/259.2 ft), and then continue to the modern neighborhood of San Isidro (109 mts/357.6 ft) with its traditional park El Olivar and its large traditional Tudor-style houses where we can see the influence of the British Colony in this zone of the city. Then we will head to Lima downtown, where we can appreciate the Government Palace, the Cathedral and other buildings with colonial architecture, the balconies of Arabian influence that form part of the Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Our route will continue to the Monastery of San Francisco where you will visit its famous, eerie Catacombs containing thousands of skeletons of wealthy people that were buried here in the belief that their sins would be forgiven. Right after, we will head to Barranco district (64 mts/209.9 ft) where MATE museum (pronounced mAH-teh) is located. MATE aims to bring Peruvian artists and culture to worldwide attention. Its founder Mario Testino, is one of the most recognized Peruvian photographer and also part of the gay community, widely regarded as one of the most influential and well-known fashion and portrait photographers of our time. Testino is known for his portraits of international icons including Kate Moss, Diana Princess of Wales, Gisele Bündchen, and aside to collaborate for brands from Gucci, Versace and Michael Kors to Chanel.
Once you have been enthralled by this experience, it is time to have your lunch at a gourmet and elegant atmosphere in one of the best restaurants in this City of Kings. Afterwards the rest of the day is yours to explore by your own or just take some rest. By the evening, we have made reservations at a first class restaurant for you, enjoy the precious evening with astonishing views of Lima city and let yourself be carried away by the allure of this magical coastal city.

DAY 3
A JOURNEY TO THE WEST COAST (B, D)

Today, we will have an especial journey ahead of us, by the late morning we will pick you up and to embark in drive on the West Coast direction.
Paracas is one of Ica’s districts and a paradise where the desert and ocean come together creating wonderful views in the process.

After a 3 hour drive we will finally arrive to your lush and comfortable resort. After you have organized your time pick up for the following day adventure the rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure, we recommend you to indulge in some spa treatments at your hotel or perhaps take a way along the precious Paracas bay.

DAY 4

The arise today must be early as we have a busy schedule with wonderful experiences. After you have enjoyed an exquisite breakfast we will head toward the Marvelous Ballestas Island the allowed parts of the National Reserve of Paracas that are accessible for people to see where we will take a boat trip to watch the best maritime wild-life of Peru. Once there we will be able to watch marine birds firstly such as: penguins, pelican seabirds, beautiful flamingos and so much more.

This part of the ocean of the Peruvian west coast is rich due to the cold current of Humboldt. As we reach the islands, the sea lions and penguins will be the first animals whom will caught our attention and being the protagonists of this experience. When we have finish our amazing boat tour, we will then take the route for about 3 hours on the Nazca airport direction to uncover the Nazca lines mysteries. Once there you will be given a few instruction and then you are ready to overfly and be marvel at the gigantic figures that had been engraved in the dessert dating from 2000 years ago. Although there had been various theories relating to the purposes of these lines, they are still a great mystery to these days.
During the flight your guide will provide more details about the theories, previous and ongoing studies about this enigmatic lines. Upon your landing, your private transportation will be awaiting you to head back to the city of kings. On our arrival 5 hours later, make the most of your free evening and enjoy at your leisure.

DAY 5
ON ROUTE TO EXPLORE THE COLORFUL SACRED VALLEY (B, L, D)

Another day of this ideal journey starts early in the morning with your pick up from your hotel and transfer you to Lima airport in order to take your flight to Cusco. Upon your arrival to Cusco (3400 mts/11154.9 ft) once again, you will be greeted by our professional guide and be transferred to the dazzling Sacred Valley which is The Sacred Valley is the perfect place to unwind and explore. It has an incredible scenery decorated by terraced mountains and snow-capped peaks, you will be totally enchanted by the traditional Andean way of life!
Firstly, we will stop by an exhibition of South American camelids, here you will find vicuñas, guanacos, alpacas and llamas. This is certainly a unique experience, learning more about these peculiar animals, feeding them and taking lots of pictures in the process. Then, we will move towards the town of Pisac (2972 mts/9750.7 ft) where you will have a succulent lunch made of organic products grown on the Sacred Valley. Afterwards, we will visit Pisac market and meander down through its cobblestone streets and have a brief tour, after that you can have the chance to chat with the locals and buy some handcrafts souvenirs, you will find handmade products made of fine alpaca fiber and some beautiful pieces of jewelry. Also, the perfect time to test your bargaining skills and practice your spanish!

Besides this colorful market, you will have a guided tour of the impressive Pisac ruins (3300 mts/10826.8 ft) complex. In this enigmatic enclosure, you will find superimposed terraces, ceremonial baths, a residential settlement and the largest Inca cemetery (the oldest in South America). To finalize this rewarding day, we will travel to Urubamba (2871 mts/9419.3 ft). Here you will find a unique town, and a soothing getaway. At night we made reservations at a pleasant restaurant in this quaint town where you will be delighted with the organic cuisine. The rest of the evening is yours to explore. Perhaps take the opportunity to indulge in the restorative massages or explore around by your own.

DAY 6
CUSCO – KM 82 – WAYLLABAMBA (B, L, D)

Greeting you on this enticing 4-day tour, you will be picked up early from your hotel in Cusco. Enjoy an early breakfast (or if you wish to have breakfast on the road please let us know you need a boxed breakfast). Escorting you to Km 82, where the initial point of the trek will start. Before arriving at our desired location, we will have a short stopover in Ollantaytambo town (2792 mts/ 9160.1 ft). This visually beautiful town will take you back to the 13th century, located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Make the most to get any supplies, as well as using the restroom.

You will embark on another 40 minutes of the road, in order to reach the location of Km 82, also known as Pisacucho (2675 mts/ 8776.3 ft). We will be met by our porters and support staff who will have all the camping equipment needed for us to have an incredible experience. Take the same steps as the ancient Incas once did, with this incredible trek. In case you need walking sticks, a pair of standard ones will be provided, and you are more than welcome to use them if you wish. You will be instructed by your guide with the correct etiquette to use them, in order to make sure that your knees are cared for. Our adventure commences as we go through many incredible archeological sites, admiring gorgeous flora as well as fauna. After you have hiked an approximation of 4 hours, you’ll approach your located site of Tarayoc (2675 mts/8776.3 ft). Here you will enjoy lunch, with a beautiful backdrop to accompany the delicious food. Once you have enjoyed and digested lunch, you will hike a further 2 hours in order to reach Wayllabamba (2970 mts/ 9744.1 ft). This beautiful village is where your luxury campsite will be located.
Before you enjoy your dinner, take time to appreciate a hot shower, and treat your muscles to a soothing massage by the specialized therapist on site. With the use of organic essential oils, you will feel at peace in no time.

Now that you are relaxed, it is time to be delight by your wonderful dinner, before enjoying a good night’s sleep in your bedroom tent.

DAY 7
WAYLLABAMBA – LLULLUCHAPAMPA – PACAYMAYO (B, L, D)

• Wake-up time: 05:30 am
• Trek starting time: 07:00 am
• Arrival to campsite: 17:00 pm
• Minimum altitude: Ayapata site – 3328 masl/ 10918.7 ft.
• Maximum altitude: Warmiwañusca Pass – 4215 masl/13828.7 ft.
• Distance covered: 9 kms/5.6 mls (9 hours walking approx.)
• Difficulty: Challenging.
• Meals included: Breakfast, snacks, lunch, tea time and dinner.

Enjoy your specially prepared breakfast as soon as you awaken, so that you can continue with your 1.5-hour hike, approaching the Ravine of Ayapata (3328 mts/ 10918.7 ft), where you will be greeted with an ethereal forest.
After enjoying and taking many photos of the Ravine, we will continue walking for another 3 hours, with a few short breaks integrated within the journey so that you don’t exhaust yourself. Soon, we approach Llulluchapampa (3760 mts/ 12335.9 ft). Here, you will be served lunch and appreciate the calmness of the Andean forest. You can appreciate the view of Warmiwañusca Pass, famously known as the Death Woman’s Pass. After admiring the breathtaking view, begin the next part of the hike, where you approach Warmiwañusca Pass (4215 mts/ 13828.7 ft).

This part of the trek will take approximately 2.5 hours. The stretch may be strenuous, but it will most definitely be worth every cobbled step when you finally arrive at your destination. Your guide will commemorate this moment by taking many amazing photos. After spending a good amount of time in Warmiwañusca, you will begin your walk down towards Pacaymayo Ravine (3500 mts/ 11482.9 ft) where you will arrive at your campsite at Pacaymayo (3500 mts/ 11482.9 ft). You will already be accustomed to tradition, so enjoy your hot shower as well as your massage before you savor your delightful dinner and settle it for the evening in your bedroom tent.

DAY 8
PACAYMAYO – CHAQUICOCHA – PHUYUPATAMARCA (B, L, D)

Wake up feeling refreshed, and embark on a yoga session for 30-40 minutes in order to recharge your body and awaken it in order to continue with today’s walk. Breathe in the fresh air, as you contemplate the sight of the beautiful mountains in the background. After your yoga session, benefit from a hot shower and later on enjoy a delightful breakfast as you prepare to embark on an hour hike through the ruins of Runkurakay. Your guide will give you fascinating details about this Inca structure once you have arrived.

Another hour of walking will be necessary in order to reach the Second Pass of Runkurakay (3955 mts/ 12975.7 ft), from here you will be able to see the Inca Trail from above, most definitely an amazing sight. Take in the view of an impressive long seaweed-covered lake, a wonderful sight, as you descend for an hour. Continuing with the trek, you will reach the wonderful Inca town of Sayacmarca (3585 mts/ 11761.8 ft). Your expert guide will be there to answer all the questions you have, as you begin your hike down to Chaquicocha (3535 mts/ 11597.8 ft). On arrival, your delightful gourmet lunch will be awaiting you.

After enjoying a nourishing lunch, you will hike for a futher 2.5 hours, on a very well looked after pathway as you reach Phuyupatamarca Pass (2640 mts/ 11942.3 ft). Above a small stone tunnel, is where you will call home for the evening as the official campsite is located in Phuyupatamarca (3670 mts/ 12040.7 ft) As you arrive at your destination, you will be met by the wonderful services of our staff from the last time. Once again, delight yourself with a hot shower, followed by a relaxing and soothing massage and them visit the dining tent as you enjoy your delicious dinner.
Your final evening will be spent with the staff, and we recommend that you give them a toast and some kind words regarding all their help throughout your tour, as you treasure this incredible experience from beginning to end. Cheers!

DAY 9
PHUYUPATAMARCA - MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO (B, L, D)

• Wake-up time: 04:00 am
• Trek starting time: 05:30 am
• Arrival to Machu Picchu citadel: 11:30 am
• Arrival to Cusco: 21:56 pm
• Minimum altitude: Machu Picchu citadel – 2430 masl/ 7972.4 ft.
• Maximum altitude: Intipunku site – 2750 masl/9022.3 ft.
• Distance covered: 8 kms/4.9 mls (5.5 hours walking approx.)
• Difficulty: Moderate.
• Meals included: Breakfast, snacks, lunch, Hiram Bingham tea time and dinner on board.

Reaching the final lapse of the hike and hoping you have enjoyed, you will wake up at 4:30am so that you have enough time to have a wholesome breakfast and move on the final portion of the trail. Walking for another 3 hours, as you arrive at Wiñaywayna, which translated from Quechua to English means “Forever young” (2650 mts/ 8694.2 ft).
Continuing for a further 1.5 hours, we will reach the Sun Gate, also known as Intipunku (2750 mts/ 9022.3 ft). Enjoy some marvelous views, as you look outwards onto the Machu Picchu citadel. Commence your walk down in order to reach Machu Picchu, and spend an hour here. Your dream of finally being in the presence of Machu Picchu (2430 mts/ 7972.4 ft) has come true, as you enter the majestic beauty. Throughout 2 hours, you will be in the hands of your knowledgeable guide who will explain to you the incredible history, secrets and theories of the construction of Machu Picchu, as well as answering all the questions that you have about this Wonder of the World.

Afterwards, take the most perfect pictures and uncover the citadel at your own leisure. We made sure that you end this memorable day, in the most memorable way by enjoying a delightfully succulent, first class buffet/ a la carte lunch at the Belmond Sanctuary Lodge Hotel which is included within your tour. Your incredible lunch is not enough, as you will be taken to enjoy a delightful teatime, which is included with the Hiram Bingham train company. Sit back, savor the taste of the food as you enjoy 30 minutes before departing to Aguas Calientes. As this incredible experience come to an end, board the wonderful Hiram Bingham train, Pullman wagon, inspired by the 1920’s era. Take time out to have a well-deserved rest, as you will enjoy an impeccable food service, with the accompaniment of a Peruvian cocktail, and live music. Your journey to Poroy will be as smooth as possible, as you disembark and meet with your View Peru representative, who will collect you and drive you approximately 40 minutes to your hotel in Cusco.

DAY 10
STROLLING AROUND CUSCO SURROUNDINGS (B, L, D)

We had specially prepared a different way to discover Cusco for today where you will have a taste of this Imperial City. Since the previous day there was a lot of arousing emotions involved, today you will have all morning to rest or wander around the city at your own pace. At a reasonable time, you will be transferred to a high-end restaurant located nearby the Main Square so you can enjoy lovely views while you please your palate with a mixture of delicious flavors.

After your lunch, our friendly guide will meet you for an incredible journey through the most eye-catching attractives of Cusco, starting with the Archaeological Center of Sacsayhuaman (3700 mts/12139.1 ft), which due to its location on the top of the city, it is believed that it served as a fortress; but according to several chroniclers, the site was built as Temple of the Sun. Then, you will be lead to the bustling San Pedro Market, which is a picturesque and cheerful local market. It offers several shopping options for local people and foreign visitors, from exotic fruit juices, fresh meat, traditional vegetables, herbs, food and miscellaneous souvenirs. After this amazing tour, you will have some time to wander around and explore this typical market on your own.

Once you have finished, you will return to the Main Square and access to the Cathedral for your visit, this construction brings together gothic, mannerist and baroque styles. It has splendid altars of both renaissance and neoclassical style, it also houses magnificent works of cusquenian crafts, an exquisite wooden-carved pulpit and a collection of the famous Escuela Cusqueña canvases.
Later on, you will have a brief explanation of the Main Square or Plaza de Armas and its surroundings, where you will find history, culture and a throbbing nightlife. Enjoy your last night at this enchanting city at a special fine cuisine restaurant, with a farewell dinner appreciating the ravishing nuances of this glittering city.

DAY 11
A DOUBLE RAINBOW MOUNTAIN HIKE (B, L)

• Pick up time: 05:00 am
• Arrival to Cusco: 18:30 pm
• Minimum altitude: Checacupe Town - 3440 masl/ 11286.1 ft.
• Maximum altitude: Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain viewpoint – 5200 masl/ 17060.4 ft.
• Distance covered: 10 kms/6.2 mls. (5.5 hours walking approx.)
• Difficulty: Moderate to Challenging.
• Meals included: Healthy snacks, luxury picnic lunch.

An early rise is necessary to achieve today’s program, after you had a nourishing breakfast at your hotel. Your knowledgeable guide will accompany you during the 3-hour drive while passing by small villages on the way and when we arrive to Hanchipacha (4660 mts/15288.7 ft) we will stop to make some last minute purchases.
After that, we will embark on a small 30 min ride to reach Pampachiri community (4530 mts/14862.2 ft), once there our guide will give us some last instruction about the next 3-hour hike and then we are settle to start our adventure. On the way we will be able to watch a fascinating scenery, rich flora and fauna, we may find llamas, alpacas, vizcachas or even eagles.

As the hike continues we will witness the most magnificent views that as we walk will also change into different colors. Also for your safety, we will have available an emergency horse in case you need it, please feel free to ask for it to your friendly guide. On our arrival we will see the so famous Rainbow Mountain or Vinicunca (5200 mts/ 17060.4 ft) and its breathtaking sight, a truly spectacle to be seen the mixed colors between pink, white, brown, purple, red, green and yellow are provided by minerals that contains soil. This jewel was recently uncovered due to the melting ice that once was there hiding it and sure it is a consequence of global warming bur now is visit by the amazement of the settlers and tourist. We will have plenty of time to capture extraordinary photos, learn more of your expert guide explanation and walk around until is time for our return, the descend will take about 2 to 2.5 hours, of course the hike down is faster and once we arrive at Pampachiri we will take a short ride to reach the perfect spot for our picnic and delicious lunch. We will return back to Cusco by the late afternoon, the rest of the day is for you to relax at your leisure.

DAY 12
FAREWELL TO CUSCO (B)

On the final day of your splendid tour, enjoy a relaxed breakfast at your hotel. At an appropriate time, our View Peru Representative and a private vehicle will be arranged accordingly to your flight schedule taking you to Cusco Airport and continue with your next adventure. We are sure that you will take with you the most beautiful memories of your Perú visit. Please note that, at all times throughout your gay package, your View Peru representatives are at your service.
